Role Profile
We are seeking a highly capable Head of Business Operations Reporting to lead the reporting and analytics capability for commercial, finance, product and other business teams at LLI. The successful candidate will be a business-minded technical leader who provides trusted insights and performance measures to support decision-making by senior stakeholders across the business.
This leadership role in the Business Operations team is responsible for reporting and analytics delivery, data governance, and team management. The successful candidate will combine strong stakeholder management and communication skills with expertise in modern data platforms, reporting technologies, and agile delivery.
The role is accountable for the end-to-end reporting lifecycle, from the ingestion of data from core business systems into Snowflake through to the creation of trusted datasets and reporting solutions in Power BI. The position ensures reporting and analytics capabilities are scalable, reliable, and aligned to business priorities, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions using trusted data.
Key Leadership Responsibilities
Own reporting and analytics delivery in alignment with the Business Operations roadmap priorities and governance processes to simplify the reporting landscape and increase report adoption.
Partner with senior business stakeholders including C-suite executives to understand requirements and translate these into a scalable reporting and analytics capability.
Provide insight and recommendations to senior leaders to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Establish and maintain governance for data quality, reporting standards, definitions, and data ownership.
Define and monitor performance measures and outcomes to deliver trusted data, reports and measurable business outcomes.
Manage, develop, and inspire a small team of Data Engineers and Power BI Developers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Champion the effective use of data, analytics, and emerging technologies to improve business performance and organisational effectiveness.
Key Operational & Delivery Responsibilities
Manage and continuously optimise the end-to-end reporting and analytics lifecycle, ensuring the reliable ingestion, transformation, modelling, and delivery of business-critical data and insights.
Define, manage, and enhance data ingestion pipelines from core business systems into Snowflake, ensuring scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
Ensure the secure, effective, and scalable operation of reporting platforms and associated technologies, including Snowflake, DBT, Airbytes, AWS S3, Power BI, and related tooling.
Design, develop, and maintain trusted datasets and data models that support consistent reporting and analytical outcomes across the organisation.
Deliver and continuously improve commercial, financial, product, customer, and operational reporting solutions through business intelligence platforms.
Monitor data availability, platform performance, report adoption, and business value delivered.
Collaborate with business and technology teams to align standards, share best practices, and build capability.
Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve automation, scalability, and efficiency.
What We Are Looking For
Essential
Proven leadership experience in business operations, intelligence, analytics, data engineering, or related disciplines.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with credibility to engage and influence senior business and technology stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of how data drives business performance.
Experience translating commercial, financial, product, and operational requirements into reporting and analytics solutions.
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, Power BI, Adobe Analytics, and modern data integration technologies.
Strong understanding of data modelling, governance, and data quality best practices.
Experience managing small, highly skilled teams in an agile environment.
Experience in a global B2B SaaS, information services, media, or subscription-based business.
Knowledge of Salesforce and related CRM ecosystems.
Desirable
Exposure to advanced analytics, AI, machine learning, or data science use cases.
Experience within maritime, logistics, transportation, or other data-intensive industries.
Experience working in a Private Equity-backed organisation.
